The PERT approach is best utilized for initiatives covering several projects and/or where a physical timetable is useful. These maps show the time, money, and preparations that a project may need in its development.

  • Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)

A WBS splits down major project tasks into independent and well-defined chunks of work so you and your team can finish the job quickly.

  • Muri

Best suited for: Projects that require flexibility and have a level of complexity or uncertainty. For instance, a product or service that hasn’t been built by the team.

Agile is a methodology that has methodologies within itself, such as Scrum and Kanban. While some may argue that they should be considered more frameworks, they are used to develop and deliver a product or service and carry their own set of characteristics and terminology that makes them worthy enough to be included on this list.

The project management resources are designed to help project managers, and it is the project manager’s task to oversee the business scheme. They can be used as resources that provide a repository of data and allow rational calculations and signals, but the machine will be just right to the degree the people use it.
